About Lee

While I was working and attending classes at Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids , every month or so, I would treat myself to a massage to relieve stress, feel rejuvenated, and have some time for myself. I often went to different salons and therapists to experience different forms of massage, and fell in love with the Shiatsu technique.  

One day, while lying on a massage therapist's table I realized, “Hey, I could do this!” Later that day, I researched schools in my area and applied to Eastwind School of Holistic Healing, which specialized in Shiatsu therapy and had an introduction to other forms of energy work, including Reiki attunements.

I attended Eastwind School of Holistic Healing in January of 2006 and after a year of growth, education, and hard work I graduated January of 2007. I took my National Exam in May of 2007, passed with flying colors and was licensed. I have been practicing out of Total Health Chiropractic since July of 2007.

While in school I practiced on friends and family out of the room that I rented from a friend of mine, and the people that I worked on donated everything from pies, to dishes that they had hand-made, to money. Later I was able to afford to practice out of a beautiful room in the Cherry Building in Downtown Cedar Rapids . Donations continued to pour in, everything from a used iMac computer to the massage table that I now use in Total Health Chiropractic! I have been very blessed this year to be able to begin work as a massage therapist, and have enjoyed making a space for clients to simply feel good!
